Don’t confuse the below with the “Bet On Yourself” cliché.

If it was, I’d remind you that you have to keep:
Bettering yourself to bet on yourself.

This weekly dose is just a straight and simple:
• everyone is busy
• many are scared (AI, war and/or uncertainty)
• most are focused on themselves
• There’s nothing wrong with that

This era of life feels very “Maslow hierarchy of needs right now”.

Fear is up.
Jobs feel down.
Action feels neutral.

So don’t forget to let people know what you are working on.
Be crisp about it. Be clear about it.
No need to be desperate or tone-deaf.

Where is this coming from?

The number of people that reached out who were surprised I was writing Landon Donovan’s memoir was over 50.

I was not doing a good job taking my own vitamin.
(And I have a newsletter that goes out every week!)

So let this be a back to school reminder for all of us.

Everyone is 100% busy.
Rarely will you obtain 100% of someone’s full attention.

Continue to put into the universe what you are in progress on.

What new certification have you obtained?
Did you get a promotion or a new job?
Are you working on a white paper or a book?

What have you been diligently working on that separates you from others?

If you don’t market yourself, no one else will.

Taking my own vitamin, Landon was named the #1 new nonfiction book on the USA Today Best-selling Booklist.

Why?

Because it’s not a soccer story.
It’s a “somehow being found” story.

Also, Landon and I released a special episode of “The Courageous Podcast” which you can listen AND watch below.
