Much has changed since 2010.
Time machine back 16 years and weād find ourselves in a world empty of Instagram, 23andMe, Sweetgreen, or Lyft.
But what if I fumbled the date on my āBack to the Futureā DeLorean and instead warped us to 1910?

One thing you may be surprised to have found:
A Hallmark Card.
For 115+ years, Hallmark has made a business out of our insatiable need to connect emotionally with our fellow humans.
Today, I can still drive a mere 5 minutes from my house to a Hallmark store where I can pick up a card and (if Iām so lucky) say to myself:
Yeah, thatās what Iām feeling.

For many, bending the right precise combination of words remains a complicated puzzle.
Guys like me have made a living out of understanding the assignment of taking the complex and shaping it succinctly.
Emojis have done much the same in the short cut game.
It has now been 15 years since Apple added the emoji keyboard to the iPhone.
Why waste time, when you can sum up what you were hoping to say in a single symbol.
I love it = ā¤ļø
That was funny = š¤£
No way = šš»
Emojis changed how the world communicates.
For one, itās speed to feeling.
For two, itās our need to play š or š or š¢ .
Language as we know it is no longer just typed; itās felt.
Words still matter.
But feeling wins.
So say it ā or show it ā however you need to.
From Hallmark⦠to ā¤ļø.
