I had an amazing mentor who used to say,
“Things don’t just happen; you make them happen.”
In the spirit of this quick dose of courage, we’ll evolve it to,
“Good things don’t just happen; you make them happen.”
Personally…
I’ll take the proactive or the persistent.
I’ll pass on the passive or the patient.
While I do believe “patience IS a virtue,”
I’m objecting to “good things come to those who wait.”
Sounds like something a parent would say for the wrong reasons.
Good things come to those who wait? No.
Good things come to those who work? Amen.
So what are you waiting for?
You get what you focus on.
Let’s get to work.
