I have a DIG Folder.

What the heck is that?

A DIG Folder is a DAMN I’M GOOD folder.

It’s something we wrote about in Headamentals, dreamed up by Joyel Crawford, and it’s used as a way to remind folks just how good people really are.

Let’s be real:

In a heavy world, where the news is a stream of negativity and your negative self-talk can get the best of you, it’s good to have an insurance policy that can instigate optimism.

I recently ran into John Gottman research that suggested high-performing teams need a ratio of 5.6 positive interactions for every 1 negative one.

If that’s what the team needs, what do you need?

Here’s a recent entry that went into my DIG Folder.

It’s good to have a DIG folder as a reminder.

Every time you get a “thank you,” a compliment, or something positive from a friend or a client, toss it straight into that DIG folder.

Your psyche will thank you later.
