A couple of weeks back, I had a sh*tty weekend.
You could make the case that it was a sh*tty weekend because my San Diego Padres blew a playoff game with two outs (and two strikes) in the ninth.
You could also surmise that I had a sh*tty weekend because my Commanders tied the New York Giants on a brainless play where professionals who make millions of dollars a year were anything but prepared or professional.
You could suggest that I deemed it a sh*tty weekend because my old man soccer team gave up a goal with three seconds left in its match, helping the other team secure a tie.
All good guesses.
Not why I called it a sh*tty weekend.
I had a sh*tty weekend because I had my first ever colonoscopy.
This is still a weekly dose of courage.
I can admit that I was a bit afraid for this procedure.
Both for the prep and for being put under.
I’m happy to report for all that sh*tty, the tests came back clear.
Haven’t been checked yet?
At or nearing that age?
Don’t put it off.
Better to catch something early before it becomes really sh*tty.
